I’ve spent much of the last few weeks shuffling in and out of radio shows. This one, from last night, was one of the most enjoyable so far. I’ve heard John’s program on previous visits to NY, and it’s a great show.

 

 

I was waiting in a silent, darkened studio waiting for the line to New York, when they suddenly cued up TV Eye, with its bloodcurdling opening scream, at an insane volume through my headphones. Frightened the life out of me, and of course got the adrenalin flowing for the live interview. It’s a pretty potent psychological technique - wonder if they use it for all their guests?
