New York stories - the line-up so far

 

Today I’ve confirmed for an interview with Bebe Buell, at home in Maine, and I’ve lucked in on a Thanksgiving Celebration. Bebe had a fling with Jim in New York around the time of the infamous Max’s broken glass shows. She’s a vital interview. So far I’ve confirmed for a second interview with Danny Fields, Carlos Alomar and a couple of others. This is a make or break trip; I also need to get hold of Steve Paul - manager of Johnny Winter, who briefly took Iggy under his wing when the Stooges split up in 1971 – and track down Leee Black Childers, whose phone seems to have been disconnected, as well as Bill Laswell and several others...
